CE certification LVD

in Official EMW

We are proud to announce that the Europe Magic Wand has passed the CE certification. To our knowledge it is the first 230 V Magic Wand vibrator that has a certified CE and thereby making it legal to sell in Europe.

A lot of products has the CE mark printed on the box or in the plastic of their product, but the only way you can be sure it has a real CE certification is by getting the documentation. As a consumer you can always ask your retailer if the product has documentation for the CE certification. The retailer is responsible for the CE compliance, so he will have to ask the distributor or manufacturer for him to see the documentation, so he can be sure it is available. Any manufacture or distributor is obligated to show the documentation on request.

We do not have any problems with sharing this documentation with you so you can make a better buying decision.

A proper CE certification of a personal massager consist of two parts. The LVD (Low Voltage Directive) and the EMC (Electromagnetic compatibility).

LVD

The LVD is to make sure the product is safe to use and “well” designed. The product is going through a couple of hundred different tests and it has to pass all. All products that use 230 V mains power has to pass this testing process at a notified body test agency. It is a common mistake that the so called “CE self certification” is enough when lethal mains power is used.

EMC

To make sure the massager will not disturb other electrical equipment that is in use and that the massager is immune against disturbance from other equipment you need it to be EMC compliant. If it is not compatible it can disturb things as your (or your neighbors) television, wifi, radio etc.

SGS

SGS is a notified body company. That means that they are allowed to make tests and certificates that show if compliance with different standards are met. SGS is headquartered in Switzerland.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask:)
